PEX pipes are usually delivered in coils that can be handled
without special equipment because of their extreme lightness.
These pipes can be cold bent without any equipment to a
bending radius eight times the pipe diameter. More extreme
bends can be easily accomplished by heating the pipe and
bending it; the pipe stays in the new shape after it cools.
Due to its flexibility accompanied with strength to withstand
extreme temperatures, PEX pipe has a long life, comparable
to that of masonry and many times that of more traditional
pipes.
